CQ ENCE 2015: EmerComms on the Net

The 6th Emergency Communications National Exercise (ENCE in Spanish) is devoted this year to RoIP: EchoLink, FRN, IRLP, D-Star, Fusion, ...

It will be held on Saturday April 18, 16:00-17:00 UTC, and is open to international participation. A good opportunity for technical experimentation and to practice languages.

EURAO Party - Winter 2015: silence please, QRP on air

The European Radio Amateurs' Organization announces a new party on the air, this time with the motto: "silence please, QRP on air". Remember this is not a contest, it is just a radio meeting with a few simple 'rules', better to call them recommendations.

balloons After more than a year of parties on the air, one in each season, EURAO looks back and sees five editions of this kind of activities:

  • Autumn 2013: make new friends with classical phone
  • Winter 2014: promoting HF Digital Voice
  • Spring 2014: CW still alive and kicking
  • Summer 2014: give youth a chance
  • Autumn 2014: be digital, explore 30m

Recently, we found some time to prepare a pretty simple website that shows statistics of past EURAO Parties, mainly because we felt the pressure of received logs (hi hi).

10th anniversary of EURAO (2005-2015): from idea to practice

10 years A long path has been traveled and an intense experience lived since F5RCS proposed in mid 2005 the creation of an European association of radio amateurs.

In just ten years, EURAO has achieved: real members in more than 50 countries, in and outside Europe; setting up a global QSL service; recognition by: EU, UN, CEPT and ITU; economic stability; attendance to HAM RADIO exhibitions; performing projects and activities, such as awards, parties, emergency communications exercises or youth meetings; etc.

The European Radio Amateurs' Organization, together with the 30 Meter Digital Group , announce a new party on the air, this time with the motto: "be digital, explore 30m". Remember this is not a contest, it is just a radio meeting with a few simple 'rules', better to call them recommendations.

Radio Clubs of the World Sprint Contest 2014

Diploma EANET After the great welcome of the previous editions, it comes again the "sprint contest" version of the EANET Award, devoted to the "Radio Clubs of the World". It will be on November 9, 08:00-12:00 UTC.

In just four hours you can win original and funny prizes that you can share with your mate or friends: hotels, restaurants, wellness or adventures.

Moreover, you will have the opportunity to contact those radio clubs you still needed to complete the EANET Award.

EuroBureauQSL XML Specification: open to external apps

EuroBureauQSL EuroBureauQSL, the EURAO's QSL Bureaus Global Network, has an XML interface ready to provide simple information to external software and applications about whether an specific callsign can receive cards via this system. The answer is just: Yes or No.

EURAO at X Colloquium of Radio Amateurs in Portugal

CT1ARR-CT1BAT "Associations in Europe - EURAO, an experience" was the title of the talk given by Jose Machado, CT1BAT, president of Tertúlia Radioamadorística Guglielmo Marconi, CS5TRGM, in the event organized by the Associação de Radioamadores do Ribatejo, CT1ARR, which took place last September in Almeirim.

Attendees discussed about this topic and how necessary it is associations work together for a better ham radio. In this article you can find the slide presentation in Portuguese and some pictures of the meeting.
