L'Organisation Européenne des Radioamateurs annonce un nouveau "QSO Party", cette fois avec la devise: "silence s'il vous plaît, QRP sur l'air". Rappelez-vous ce n'est pas un concours, c'est uniquement une rencontre sur l'air de radioamateurs avec quelques 'règles' simples, qu'il vaut mieux appeler des recommandations.

After more than a year of parties on the air, one in each season, EURAO looks back and sees five editions of this kind of activities:

• Autumn 2013: make new friends with classical phone
• Winter 2014: promoting HF Digital Voice
• Spring 2014: CW still alive and kicking
• Summer 2014: give youth a chance
• Autumn 2014: be digital, explore 30m

Recently, we found some time to prepare a pretty simple website that shows statistics of past EURAO Parties, mainly because we felt the pressure of received logs (hi hi).

Un long chemin a été fait et une expérience intense a été vécue depuis que F5RCS a proposé, au milieu de l'année 2005, la création d'une association européenne de radioamateurs.

En seulement dix ans, EURAO a atteint: l’adhésion de véritables membres dans plus de 50 pays, dans et en dehors de l'Europe; la création d'un service de QSL global; la reconnaissance par: UE, ONU, CEPT et UIT; la stabilité économique; la présence à des salons comme HAM RADIO; des projets performants et des activités, comme des diplômes, des QSO parties, des exercices de communications d’urgence ou des meeting avec la jeunesse ; etc.

Rappelez-vous ce n'est pas un concours, c'est uniquement une rencontre sur l'air de radioamateurs avec quelques 'règles' simples, qu'il vaut mieux appeler des recommandations.

After the great welcome of the previous editions, it comes again the "sprint contest" version of the EANET Award, devoted to the "Radio Clubs of the World". It will be on November 9, 08:00-12:00 UTC.

In just four hours you can win original and funny prizes that you can share with your mate or friends: hotels, restaurants, wellness or adventures.

Moreover, you will have the opportunity to contact those radio clubs you still needed to complete the EANET Award.

EuroBureauQSL, the EURAO's QSL Bureaus Global Network, has an XML interface ready to provide simple information to external software and applications about whether an specific callsign can receive cards via this system. The answer is just: Yes or No.

"Associations in Europe - EURAO, an experience" was the title of the talk given by Jose Machado, CT1BAT, president of Tertúlia Radioamadorística Guglielmo Marconi, CS5TRGM, in the event organized by the Associação de Radioamadores do Ribatejo, CT1ARR, which took place last September in Almeirim.

Attendees discussed about this topic and how necessary it is associations work together for a better ham radio. In this article you can find the slide presentation in Portuguese and some pictures of the meeting.

The first European Emergency Communications Exercise held on September 27, was attended by hams from: Croatia, France, Germany, Italy, Macedonia, Portugal, Romania, Spain, UK, ... Pretty good for the first time.

Some of them participated only as listeners (SWL), others giving reports and a few sending and receiving messages.
