Because COVID-19, the popular Friedrichshafen HAM RADIO exhibition has been canceled. However, EURAO will hold its General Assembly on the scheduled date: Saturday, June 27, 2020, at 17:00 CEST, albeit virtually.

For this reason, the image of this year's Assembly will be more similar to the picture on the left than the usual group of people around a table. Anyway, the agenda is full of interesting topics to deal with and even the admission of several new member associations.

Friedrichshafen is still the best meeting place for European radio amateurs and EURAO was there to keep in touch with its members and friends, contact other entities and hold its General Assembly.

The Assembly was very fine and all issues were approved unanimously, including a common strategy to address the threat over the 144-146 MHz band. Several new projects were discussed and kicked off.

Next year we hope to see you there in June 26-28, 2020.

On Saturday, June 22, at its booth A1-696 in the Friedrichshafen exhibition, the members of EURAO will meet again to discuss about the past, the present and especially the future of the organization, its projects and its next objectives. All of you are invited to attend this event.

Meeting once a year in Friedrichshafen is a real pleasure and the opportunity to listen others' ideas, share experiences and discuss about common issues. So we did, but instead of waiting in the booth, the president went to the middle of the fair.

Other activities, such as the EURAO's General Assembly and the ID-CCS7 workshop of DR@F for French operators, took place in the booth.

Next year we will see there in June 21-23, 2019.

Being all member associations' booths close to each other in HAM RADIO 2017 exhibition was an excellent opportunity to continuously interact, try to find new common projects to carry on and receive feedback to improve old ones.

EURAO, ARR, CISAR, FEDI-EA, FRC, RNRE, URC and VRA were together in the same row: the EURAO Boulevard. In the picture during the General Assembly.

This year EURAO had a larger booth at the German fair in Friedrichshafen, where several associations from different countries shared space. In this way very positive synergies for all participants and frank climate of multinational collaboration was generated.

Multiple events and meetings took place in this unique setting of friendship, such as EURAO Assembly, YO SOTA Marathon Conference, ...

10th anniversary of EURAO and fourth time attending the exhibition in Friedrichshafen.

Lots of hams to greet and exchange views. Members, yes, but also friends. Some of them old friends of each year. Others just met for the first time. True ham spirit in the air. That's our hobby, that's EURAO.

In the last General Assembly (2015-06-27) a new Board of Directors was elected for a period of two years: President ON4PM, Vicepresident YO9RIJ, Secretary-General EA3CIW and Treasurer EA3CWZ.

As previously announced, EURAO took advantage of its attendance to Friedrichshafen exhibition to hold the annual Assembly, making the long trip of its members worth his while.

In an intense but friendly international work environ­ment, several new projects were discussed. We hope they will be released soon.

But we did not forget the main reason for being there:
