EURAO General Assembly 2024: great participation and great results

The General Assembly 2024 of EURAO was held the first Thursday of July via internet, after a previous informal contact in Friedrichshafen the weekend before.

The minutes of this meeting are now available to all member associations in the archive section of our website.

M17, an open source amateur radio project sponsored now by EURAO

M17 team At the proposal of its Board, the EURAO Assembly decided to support the M17 project with a modest donation.

This project, based on open-source Codec 2, aims to define a new digital voice (DV) mode for VHF and higher bands.

The scheduled date for this year's EURAO formal General Assembly is: Thursday evening, July 4, 2024, at 18:00 CEST (16:00 UTC), that will be held virtually using the Google Meet platform, as in the last editions. Those interested in participating, ask for the link.

However, those attending the HAM RADIO exhibition will have the opportunity for a first live exchange of impressions the weekend before.

EURAO General Assembly 2023: new members and keep on growing

The General Assembly 2023 of EURAO was held the last Wednesday of June via internet, after a previous contact in Friedrichshafen the weekend before.

The incorporation of a couple of new member associations was approved, one Portuguese and the other Romanian, as well as the financial reports and the budget.

The scheduled date for this year's EURAO formal General Assembly is: Wednesday evening, June 28, 2023, at 19:00 CEST (17:00 UTC), that will be held virtually using the Google Meet platform, as in the last editions. Those interested in participating, ask for the link.

However, those attending the HAM RADIO exhibition will have the opportunity for a first live exchange of impressions.

EURAO General Assembly 2022: new members, new benefits, ...

The General Assembly 2022 of EURAO was held the first Saturday of July via internet. The incorporation of two new member associations, both Italian, was approved.

The beneficiaries of the Radio Amateur Insurance have also been extended to the members of the member associations, starting with the members of their boards of directors.

EURAO General Assembly 2022: on July 2, virtual again

The scheduled date for this year's EURAO General Assembly is: Saturday, July 2, 2022, at 17:00 CEST (15:00 UTC).

All members are invited to participate. Remember that only associations have the right to vote according to the Statutes.

As in the last editions, it will be held virtually using the Google Meet platform. If you are interested in participating, ask for the link.

EURAO General Assembly 2021: more live participation and...

The General Assembly 2021 of EURAO was held the last Saturday of June via internet, with more people participating live and more topics to discuss than ever.

One of the most interesting addressed points was the call for participation in projects such as: its own Emergency Communications coordination, the setup of an European DMR network and a new DXpedition team.

EURAO General Assembly 2021: on June 26, virtual again

Because COVID-19, the popular Friedrichshafen HAM RADIO exhibition has been canceled again. However, EURAO will hold its General Assembly on the scheduled date: Saturday, June 26, 2021, at 17:00 CEST, virtual for the second time.

Like last year, Google Meet will be used for the meeting and the resulting image will be more similar to the picture on the left than the usual group of people around a table.

EURAO General Assembly 2020: held online

With a participation, in one way or another, of 80%, the General Assembly 2020 of EURAO was held last Saturday, June 27, via internet.

Of course, it is not the same as face-to-face meetings, but, as long as we have COVID-19 around, virtual meetings are the best solution with the least risk. Our radio-gastronomy section will have to wait a little while... hi hi.
