The European Radio Amateurs' Organization (EURAO) holds its annual meeting next weekend, 28-30 October, in Barcelona (Spain), to be attended by representatives of several associations from different countries of the old continent. New members are welcome.
The topics covered range from internal affairs to international projects.
EURAO currently has member associations in: Belgium, France, Greece, Italy, Portugal and Spain. Also supporters in: Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, United Kingdom, United States of America, Uruguay and Venezuela.
All of them participating in its star project: EuroBureauQSL, an open alternative to the classic bureau system.
Digital amateur radio networks and its standards are also in the agenda to be discussed.
Really a very busy weekend, although we hope there will be enough time for sightseeing the city, some of its monuments and dear corners, enjoying the Mediterranean cuisine and Spanish wines, perfect for "socializing" colleagues of the same hobby, but with different languages, cultures and points of view.
All European independent associations of radio amateurs are invited to participate in the meeting and/or later work and activities.
